Go Big or Go Home
The phrase “go big or go home” I guess is a good way to paraphrase my life. I’ve never been one to take things easy, or wonder if I could do something. I reach high. Even if things are a bit frightening or seem out of reach. I go big.
Ride a motorcycle; let alone build one, that’s one thing. For me that was great, but what about riding cross our country? Yeah, go big or go home. And I’m very proud that I may have instilled that into my boys.
The same can be said for my art. My paintings have always been large. Even while in school, i painted on large canvas and then switched to board, ‘cause I couldn’t stretch large enough canvas by myself.
So When the change was made to jewelry, I knew petite wasn’t going to work for me. After my first show, the only negative comments were about the fact that I didn’t have any of the styles in a smaller size. So without compromising my work, I added rings and a semi small pendant. That’s as small as I go.
The thing is, I believe everyone should make a statement. My pieces may be on the large size, but they are meant to make a statement; be noticed.
Show people you are secure in who you are. Try something a little outside of the box.
I’ve had people tell me after buying the Large Pendant, that they had so many compliments on it, and that made them feel good.
So, even if you are a petite type jewelry person. A large piece will make a statement, just when you need to do so. A power choice. Be heard and seen. Let people look into that dragon’s eye and see the inner you. Take your time to choose the one that makes a statement to you.
You only have this life, to make a difference, so, “Go Big Or Go Home”
